After years using PC's we've just moved to an i-mac at home. the main push for us was that they do not start slowing down & crashing after several years usage - or so i'm told!!

i'm assuming that there's others on here that use mac's & i'd like to tap your font of knowledge from time to time!

Firstly, how can i set up an editor for Mail? i get fed up having to hold down caps shift for the 1st letter of each sentance & names. i cannae see an obvious box to click for it. can i do it via Word for Mac?

yeah, i'm doing alright ta! i dunno what the fuss is all about really. they're not so very different to PC's - it's just what yer used to. As long as this doesnae start slowing down & crashing all the time in 3 or 4 years time, i'll be happy!

Well, I am in my third year of having an iMac. My wife has had hers for two years.
i have not had any 'slowing down' problems, but it might just be a question of perception than fact.

You are right, they are not so very different, or so I thought 'till i purchased a WIN 7 machine this last weekend.
I was really thrown when I had start with windows 7....

Hi,

I have just changed from mac to windows, mine windows -7 is great , it is much easier to use and work. As compared to any other OS from microsoft windows 7 is the most respectable. It doesn't slow down as the earlier system used to be. Mac is having the great interface which i am lacking in windows 7 but it's ok as it is much more user friendly and can get support form the local people easily whatever the problem may be.
